Carmen Oxford Black Crinkle Patent

This is my second pair of Carmens - I also have them in the cream and Scotch color. The day after they arrived, I wore them to work and it turned into a 10-hour day, with dinner out afterwards. The shoes were so comfortable - no pinching, no rubbing, no blister, no irritation. I have high arches, and while Carmen has no visible arch support, I had no issues. They are a great shoe for the transitional seasons - not a sandal, but not an Oxford. Love them and highly recommend!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this shoe! I got it in black. It's adorable and I get so many compliments on it every time I wear it. Comfortable, adorable, goes with pants and skirts, good for 3 of 4 seasons. I'm having to hold myself back from buying another pair in a different color.

Love the shoes! I ordered my normal size nut should have gone down 1/2 size. Great looking shoe, comfy snd I’ve gotten a ton of compliments ! I got the cream and scotch. I should have read the sizing info!!! They recommended 38( I ordered 39.

They're so so cute, I'm thinking of buying a second pair in the same color (ivory) for when I inevitably wear them down. I had been thinking about buying these shoes for years and I'm glad I waited!! The ivory ones are perfect. Quite comfortable as well, even though I have rather wide feet.

Those shoes go with everything! Dressed up or down- I can wear them all day long- no tired feet, no blisters- i get random people on the street compliment my shoes and ask where i got them- I don’t mind to stop and tell them about Fortresses, because I have 3 pairs of those- two beige tan and one black and tan- they feel like a glove on a hand!

Loving these shoes. The style is great, quality is great. Fortress shoes are my go-to for shoes to wear to the office.

Adorable…if you can get the fit right. They run long & wide. I’m between an 8-8.5, I ordered the 8 & wow nowhere near. I even tried gifting them to a friend w size 9 foot & she was swimming in them. The toe part is also exceptionally roomy, so great for an extra wide foot. Really bummed I couldn’t make these work because they’re so dang cute. I got them on sale, so I’m hoping I can find Cinderella since I can’t return them.

I was so excited when your site showed the Carmen, Cream+Scotch, in a size 40. (I had previously ordered a size 41 and it was too large.) I reordered a size 40 and the paperwork I received said I ordered a size 40. I was so disappointed to receive a size 41, again. But the insult was being charged $6.95 for shipping and restocking. Fortress shipped the incorrect size. This a company error, not mine. They should have absorbed that cost. Fortress shoes are beautiful but the company's operations could use some improvement.

These are beautiful and well-made, but they run large. I missed the return window so I'm trying to sell mine to get a new size, but I still recommend them!I'm a size 6 and ordered 36, which was over a half-size too big. I thought about wearing them anyway (that's how much I like them), but it's one of those shoes where tying it tighter probably wouldn't stop them from flip-flopping at the heel. The sizing might be unique to this style because the Luna Naya is true to size.

These were comfortable right out of the box! They received so many compliments and they go with almost everything.

Beautifully handcrafted. I want these shoes but I need to size down. I ordered size 41 as that is the size I have always worn (I wear a US 10). I should have taken the suggestion on the order site which was a 40. Unfortunately there are no 40s in the Cream + Scotch at this time. I plan to order them when they produce more.

Loved these shoes so much I had to purchase a second pair. They are very comfortable, go with multiple looks, and the quality makes them worth every penny.

I love these shoes so much that when I saw them on the Pay What You Wish Sale I had to jump on it because my current shoes (3-ish years old) were starting to lose their luster and tearing a bit in the heel. Even though I know my current pair will technically last at least another year, I knew I liked these shoes too much to let the opportunity for a replacement pass.

I have been eyeing this shoe for awhile and finally decedied to pull the trigger. It definelty needs to be broken in, as it scraped my heal, but after sometime the leather gets soft and comfy. It is such a unique design though and I love it.

I’ve had these beautiful shoes for about a year. They are fully broken in but I still have to cover the knuckle of my big down and heel on one side. Otherwise they’ll rub blisters into my feet. I do get a lot of looks and compliments!

I love the uniqueness and style of this shoe. I have received so many compliments! I wear mostly black work attire and these are a creative way to express some individuality while still keeping it minimal and classy. In addition to the aesthetics this shoe is also very comfortable. Plan on purchasing more Fortress shoes. Very pleased!

These are the second pair I’ve purchased and always get compliments.

I saw Karla Reed in these and fell in love! The first day I wore them ended up being a 10 hour work day, and they were as comfortable when I took them off as when I’d put them on that morning - no blisters, no rubbing, just perfectly comfortable! I typically wear a 7 - 7.5 in shoes, the fit guide recommended a 37 and they are a perfect fit. Highly recommend!

The shoes are comfortable and look terrific with either jeans or dressy slacks. A must have for summer!

I ordered these shoes in a 38; I typically wear a 7 or 7.5 and I have a narrow heel with a high instep and wider forefoot. They fit like a dream! I tried them on with thin socks and was a little worried about my heel slipping. Once I knew I was going to keep them, I put them on without socks, and voila! - no slipping! The first day I wore them turned into a 10 hour work day, which could have been a disaster, but they were comfy with no rubbing, no blisters! There is plenty of cushioning and they molded beautifully to my foot. They’re the perfect shoe for the post Chelsea boot & loafer - pre pedicure sandal season! Now if only someone could share the secret to keeping the laces tied 

I love these shoes--which were my second choice during a nearly half off sale at the beginning of this year. My first choice was a set of low-cut boots--which I ordered online but when they arrived, I realized they were slightly worn and not a great fit for me. When I took them back and asked for my second choice pair instead (which had also been part of the online sale), the in-store agent wasn't sure how to do it so she asked manager, who said they couldn't honor the sale because it had ended. This made no sense and made me feel like they'd been shipping out slightly worn shoes with their online sale (w/o making this clear) and hoping no one returned them. But since I live in Austin where their store is based, I dropped in to do so and try on these shoes before buying them. I'm not really sure, but I know I was charged the full price for these rather than the listed sale.So now I have these gorgeous shoes and two other pairs of Fortress shoes. I know from visiting their store I want two other styles. However, based on this weird in-store interaction, I am not planning to purchase more or promote them positively to those who give me compliments on them. I will be happy to update this review if the original half-off sale I was targeted with on them is honored.

So feminine and comfortable. Want to get the black and white ones next!

Had to return because the my heels come all the way out of the shoe. But I think the next size down would be way too snug of a fit.
