The workshop began in 1995, in the house of its founder, Víctor Meneses Pichardo. What started as making shoes to order for a handful of clients grew, over three decades, into a family trade built on tradition and a deep love of leather.

Before opening his own workshop, Víctor spent years working as a pattern maker in factories across Lima, always dreaming of designing shoes for international brands and labels of his own, a big leap for a small workshop at the time. That dream took a real step forward in the early years, when a designer arrived with beautiful Italian fabrics and cords. Working with such fine materials was a new challenge, but the family took it on with care and patience, and the results amazed everyone. It's the moment they say they truly fell for the craft.

Today it's a family business spanning three generations, with grandfather, father, and son working side by side. Their most senior craftsman, José, has been with them for more than 10 years and leads the soles, heel finishing, lacquering, and painting. It's his hands that carefully finish the wood on every pair of our clogs that leaves the workshop.

Víctor grew into one of the most respected pattern makers in the trade, and it's that expertise that let the workshop expand steadily over the years. What stands out most is the balance they've struck between handmade and modern production: pairing artisanal technique with more industrial methods to reach export quality, while keeping traditions alive with leather soles and hand-finished wooden heels.

It's that attention to detail, especially their wood finishing, that drew us to them. From the leather they select to the precision of their cutting and grading, the care shows in every pair before it ever reaches the box.

Looking ahead, the family hopes to see their work reach many countries, producing not only for partners like us, but one day under their own brand, too.
