Surprisingly robust arch support, beautiful (if stiff) leather. Inconsistent staining on wood soles, the shades appear slightly different on each shoe. Zero traction. Overall happy with first Fortress purchase.

While it is cute and appears to be good quality, I returned this pair of 38 as 39 was not available. They were snug and i felt they might be too tight/stiff. When i stepped while wearing the shoe it made a suction noise that I’m uncertain would continue or happen if i had stockings on. I’m a tad retucent for a future pair as i wear these types of shoes without socks and would be embarrassed if the sound occured.

These are gorgeous shoes that can be worn with so many different outfits. This is my second pair of Fortress shoes and I am a convert!

Absolutely love these! Not only are they well made silver oxfords, but the beautiful pattern makes them unique for sure. I chose my usual Fortress size 38. I’m typically a 7.5/8 in most shoes and boots.

I’ve lost count of how many pairs of Fortress shoes I own, but that alone proves that I’m a happy customer. Each pair is both elegant and functional. Highly recommended.

I love the Emmy Oxfords! Unfortunately they’re too big on me, but I took a risk buying them final sale knowing they might end up being too big. I’m still going to see if I can make them work with socks because I love the style!

Uncomfortable bad fit, cuts right at back of heel, tight shoe box.

This is a show stopper shoe. My fifth pair of Fortress shoes, by far my favorite shoe maker. The black braided leather is a stunning detail and the compliments keep coming.

I have purchased three pairs of this particular style of shoe. It is an absolute wardrobe staple. The only thing I would say is that the sole takes a beating and shows wear very quickly. But I have a feeling I will be ordering a fourth pair very soon.

The fit and style is great. They were true to size (I'm a 6 1/2 and went with the recommended size). They don't really need break-in time and dress up casual outfits.

I love my shoes! I took the advice offered from Fortress and had one shoe stretched as one foot is larger. I enjoyed wearing them until the snow came and now have to wait til it goes away! I love the color, but originally wanted the lighter color. It was out of stock. I am hopeful that when spring arrives, I can purchase another pair. They are well made and I so appreciate the superb craftsmanship!

These shoes are gorgeous! They were a little tight in the width at first but I wore them around the house in some thick socks and they were perfect after a few days! The perfect dress up dress down oxford! perfect with a fall dress or a pair of jeans.

These shoes are beauties and just take a wee bit to wear em in; stretch the leather (very handy instructions provided in the box).
